Points
to Consider When Selecting a New Card:
- After the
introductory rate ends, what will my new rate be?
- Will my credit card balance
be paid off when the introductory rate ends?
- Are there any transfer
fees when doing the balance transfer?
- Am I still better off if
there is a transfer fee?
- Always read the card terms,
conditions, rates, and fees so you understand beforehand how your new card works.
- Mark your calendar for
when your low introductory rate ends and make an evaluation of what
to do next as this date approaches.
- You may need
to do several balance transfers depending on your credit rating.
Suppose you are approved for Discover Card, but they give you a
credit limit of $1,500, when you wanted to transfer $4,000.
